In my post Angelicas-Place-Assisted-Living-in-Romeo-Michigan_Footing-Concrete-Placement, or as one would normally say, footings were poured on Aug-02-2007.

Today, on Sep-11-2007 concrete was placed in the basement walls. Concrete pour was scheduled for 9:00 AM.

There was plenty of help available on the site. Partner Marler Harlow and the crew got everything tied up, fastened, screwes and braced under the guidance and direction of Bob Martin of Reddi-Wall, the supplier of the ICF blocks. Special attention was paid to the West side wall -- as you will see in some of the pictures I have posted, the real long one with no interior cross wals.

Bob Martin got the whole crew together for the pre-pour meeting where all the procedural details were discussed and everyone got to know of his assignment and his responsibility. The actual pour began at around 10:00 AM.

Harlow and Sons are the contractors for this energy efficient building using ICF walls in basement. Later we were also joined by Partner Mark Bender.

I present here some pictures that I took today at the site. I will keep you posted with progress pictures as we go along.
