This commercial building with a wide main road frontage had been lying vacant for some time. The building had not been maintained -- so it was in a state of disrepair. The building as it stands today had come about in several phases. The East side of the building has a precast prestressed concrete roof. The West side of the building is roofed over with wood trusses.

The structural integrity of the building is being restored by ...



  • replacing broken, cracked, and rotted wood
  • adding 2X and LVL beams
  • adding wood studs and pipe columns
  • reinforcing/replacing door and window headers as appropriate

For energy efficiency, some older doors and windows are being replaced, more insulation is being added. We are considering use of polyurethane spray insulation to eliminate air infilteration.

Bath room is being renovated to ensure barrier free access. A handicap ramp is being added at the South-West corner of the building. Parking lot is being upgraded to accommodate handicap parking. Steps to the building are being repaired and/or replaced. it is looking good.
