As you would have noticed in my update erecting the roof trusses , in the South-West corner of the house, the trusses are hanging over in the porch area. So we want to get the posts up in the porch area. Yesterday, we dug the footings, and called the Highland Township Building Department for footing excavatiion inspection.

We passed the footing excavation inspection this morning, and we placed the concrete in the isolated column footings for the posts in the porch area. We have ICF walls on the North and South sides of the posts. The posts will support a steel beam for the porch slab at the First Floor Level, and then we will posts on top of the beam that will support part of the roof that is currently overhanging in the South-West corner of the house.
