In another post, I talked about Reinforcing-An-Existing-Wall-Header-And-Supporting-Posts, where we looked at an alternate that involved reinforcing the ICF header and the sides of the posts with structural steel channels.

In the alternate discussed here in this post, a 2-ply LVL was to be placed adjacent to the existing ICF header and the LVL was to be supported by posts of bundled 2x4s -- this setup would carry the imposed loading from the roof.

I am depicting in the following a picture showing the longitudinal view of the ICF wall and the related design data.
