This is a beautiful building currently under construction in Rochester Michigan. Bob Martin of Steel Studs and Joists Inc of Port Huron is installing the light-gage metal framing for Modern Drywall of Rochester Michigan.

I was at the project site this afternoon to look at the oyster ceiling appurtenance that Bob Martin has installed at the upper level. I took some pictures of the oyster, the pictures however are not very sharp and do not do justice to the beautiful structure.

The oyster frame was shop fabricated at Steel Studs and Joists facility and transported in 4 pieces and assembled and erected at the project site.

The underside of the oyster will be drywalled -- the work will be done under the supervision of Mike, John, and Joe of Modern Drywall.

I also looked at the location where the light-gage metal framing for the ring will be installed. The frame for the ring will be hung from the roof joists overhead -- but I will be discussing that in another post.

So, without much further ado, here are some pictures of the oyster. I wish the pictures would have been a bit sharper to do justice to the exotic oyster frame.
