I had shown the pictures of the interior of the Forberger-New-Lake-Front-ICF-House-in-Commerce-Twp-Michigan in my Mar-10-2007 post, and I showed you pictures of the exterior of this lake front beauty in my Mar-07-2007 post.

Boy, what would it be like losing heat in your house in the cold Michigan Winter. Even though it can be brutally cold with no heat in the house but it warms your heart to know that FORBERGERs were not out in the cold -- theirs is an energy efficient ICF house and the large thermal mass heat battery kept them warm and kept them from freezing.

Yes the heater is running well. All four heating zones and the Air handler were pumping out heat from 1:00PM on Monday until Tuesday morning. It did take a bit of time to re-charge the big heat battery that I have. Any time that you want to come over give me a call.

Thanks to FORBERGERs I have very fond memories of the last visit to their place in the summer when my wife and I were invited to their new lake front ICF house (then under construction), a boat ride, and a sumptuous dinner. So, Dieter THANKS for the invite.

And back to the heat and warmth, isn't this a great follow-up that when you have an energy efficient ICF house, you have in the thermal mass of the ICF a built-in heat battery that not only keeps you warm and cozy in the winter and cool and comfy in the summer, but is always charged up and ready to come into action ... just in case!
