I was at the project site today, Sep-27-2007, to look at the installation of Insul-Deck Panels for First Floor of the house. At the project site I met Dave Russell of WallTech LLC, suppliers of the Insul-Deck Panels, and Jim, the man-incharge at the job site for Rick Alpert -- the contractor installing the Insul-Deck panels.

Insul-Deck Panels for First Floor span across ICF walls, and interior structural steel beams. I have kept the structural steel beams sunken within the depth of the Insul-Deck Panels so that we would have a flush soffit underneath.

It was a great day at the project site -- Phil Gomez, owner of Circle G Construction, the General Contractor for the project was there, Rick Alpert was there, the home-owner was there, and of couse as I mentioned before Dave Russell, and Jim were there. Great way to communicate, to have every one available for effective communication.

The Building Inspector was also expected at the site -- however, I was at the project site from nominally 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and did not have a chance to meet him there during my stay at the project site.

The Insul-Deck Panels have been intalled in a workman like manner, structural steel beams with Nelson Studs are in -place, the reinforcing steel is installed, it has been shored underneath, and the erection of ICF walls above the First Floor has been started. I present here some pictures that I took today of the Insul-Deck installation. I will present the pictures of the shoring under the Insul-Deck Panels, and the ICF walls for the house in another post.
