First Floor concrete placement, concrete pour, in commonly used lingo took place today, Oct-15-2007. It was scheduled for noon time -- but the actual placement started shortly after 1 O' clock.

In my last post on this project, I had presented our Readiness-for-First-Floor-Concrete-Placement. All the Is had been dotted, and all the Tees had been crossed.

Part of the area around the building had been backfilled, so it was not necessary to engage the services of a concrete pump -- the concrete could be placed with chutes.

Harlow and Sons are the contractors for this energy efficient building using ICF walls in basement.

I present here some pictures of the concrete placement operation. I will keep you posted with progress pictures as we go along.
