One of the items discussedd in this post is the installation of electrical wiring, plugs, and switches. As you will see in some of the pictures I have posted that the EPS foam is cut with a hot knife or a router, the items are installed and then covered up with EPS foam, and cover plates are installed as appropriate and the penetrations are sealed with polyurethane adhesive. For surface mounting of larger items, a timber plate is used. The surface mounting plate is anchored to concrete of the ICF wall. If some items are to be mounted after the fact when the concrete has hardedened, tapcons, expansion anchors, or epoxy anchors are used. For penetrations before the placement of concrete, PVC pipe sleeves are installed. For penetrations after the fact when the concrete has hardened, openings are core drilled. During my walk-down inspection, I noticed that practically all of the electrical wiring, plugs and switches have been installed. The pictures also show supporting and mounting of the radiant heat and water tubing on the ICF walls. Picture 1 ...
